For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Company (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”) refers to SSHVerify.
- Service refers to the SSHVerify API and web application available at https://sshverify.com and related endpoints.
- Personal Data means any information that identifies or can reasonably identify an individual.

What we collect
Public SSH keys
When users connect to a collection or verification session, we record the SSH public key presented by the client. We never request or store private keys.
Connection metadata
We collect non-sensitive connection metadata such as timestamps, source IP addresses, user agent strings, and session results (success or failure). This data helps with debugging, auditing, and webhook delivery.
Account information
If you create an account, we collect basic account details like your email address, name, and billing information necessary for invoicing.
How we use your data
We use collected data to:
- Provide and operate the SSH collection and verification Service.
- Deliver webhooks and API responses to your application.
- Troubleshoot and audit session activity.
- Provide customer support and billing.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not share your public keys or connection metadata with third parties except:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., webhook delivery, logging) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to valid legal process.
Data retention
We retain public keys and connection metadata for as long as necessary for your account, to comply with legal obligations, or as needed for security and auditing. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting support@sshverify.com.
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data. However, no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Children’s privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices. We will post the updated policy and update the “Last updated” date.
